I have powered down weapons as the only Romulan ships left have no weapons and the Starfleet lot are even more puny than the Romulans

(Am i right in saying they sent a cargo class ship in the fleet?)

*As the energy cloud chases the U.S.S. Tiberon, the Tiberon suddenly ejects her auxillary warp core as a diversion strategy. Instantly, the energy wave loses interest in the ship and heads for the core drifting in space. In a matter of moments, the warp core vanishes inside the energy cloud as it begins to consume the raw energy. And thus, the Na'jigat energy beings grow stronger...*

The two forces seem to be engaging in combat, the non green side seems to be losing slightly...

OFF: my intention is the following; the USS Evolution will become the ship that will be stationed within Delta Alliance space for exploration (after the current mission of course). So it would seem logical that the USS Evolution is the first one to make contact with the D.A. (and thus, with this ship).
The USS Evolution is now fleeing from the battle, but chased by another Romulan warbird. They will not be able to keep fighting back, and withdraw to the Quantum Singularity Network, close to DS12... and conveniently also close to where we are now (Sordinan, you can find it on the map). Eventually the warbird will force the USS Evolution to come out (by firing inside the Quantum Singularity Network - and thus disgracing the Nigillian gods) and the USS Evolution will decide on a last desperate act: plotting a ram course against the Romulan warbird, in hope that with their own destruction, they can destroy the Romulan ship as well. Right before they hit, the ASC Revox comes out and attacks the Romulan ship (and only at that point, fully chooses the side of Starfleet, because it was the Romulans who disgraced their gods by firing onto the QSN). The Romulan warbird will get quite a beating, and the USS Evolution is save for the moment. At that moment, all other ships will almost have lost the battle too, and the ASC Revox will go in to save the day.
Good enough? :P

"Greetings in name of the United Federation of Planets. I am Randall Sanchez, captain of the U.S.S. Evolution. Our intentions are not hostile toward you, or toward this region of space. We were trying to fight back a criminal organisation called the Romulan Coalition."

OFF: I am confused, Proctor, are you just an engineer or are you some sort of Council rep?

"Good! Now let's prove our worth in name of the Delta Alliance! For the Delta Alliance!"

He looks at the viewscreen and sees the USS Evolution enter the battle, and soon be surrounded by three huge Romulan warbirds...

"Head for those enemy ships, and disable them at once before they can harm the USS Evolution!"

[Ardwyad]

"Ah oh well, I suppose it's not that urgent. We'll see to that after we've had our daily lunch break then."

We shouldn't meet our new friends empty-handed, and honor our tradition to seal a new bond or alliance with a strong gift."

OFF: Razanis is some strong alcoholic drink native to the Delta Alliance, very popular (like Romulan Ale is popular in Starfleet) but also VERY strong. D.A. species are used to it and can cope with it, but "humans" (and even Vulcans) will be instantly drunk :P But that we could never anticipate of course :P
