The Revolt of Loxius

[Zaphan]

Zaphan punched the security code into the computer interface terminal and initiated the cold-start sequence.
The engines flared into life...

"Taurik, could you monitor the Impulse flow, it must be at 23 gigajoules before I can engage the subspace induction."

The Drak'kai lifted off the stardock slowly but surely and rose into the atmosphere.

The ageing freighter shuddered a little, as Taurik noted the Impulse flow regulator was generating 22 gigajoules and rising further toward the desired amount.

[Taurik]

Taurik drew his energy blade, at the same time realizing that even he could not hope to advance alone against a Loxian battalion, renewed with even more infantry and armor reinforcements.

He tracked Commander Baphomet in the Kelata by her mental signature, and performed an almost impossible feat. He leapt high into the air, landing almost perfectly on top of the Kelata. The Vulcan attack craft flew quickly over the Loxian regiment, and Taurik jumped from the shuttle and landed into the thick of the enemy battalion.

Brandishing his energy blade, Taurik quickly relieved the nearest soldiers from the burden of their waists with a single swipe. He then made a powered jump onto the top of a battle tank and used his blade to cut open the cockpit and forcibly remove the driver, tossing his telekinetically into his friends on the ground.

After dropping to the ground, Taurik found himself surrounded by more than a dozen heavily armed troopers all aiming their weapons at him. He pondered for a short moment, and resolved to summon a psionic shockwave that threw the newly lifeless corpses to the ground many meters away.

[Baphomet]

Baphomet seen the unusual matter stream effect, that transported what must be Dyien.

"Na'Shaya Dyien is it? It is an honor to finally meet you."

[Dyien]

The Avenger moves away from the Kelata and proceeds to maximally sublight speed and catch the Starfleet vessel now decending down to the planets surface at excessive high speeds.

"ETA to tractor beam range?" Dyien asked the Science Officer.

"22.3 seconds at max speed."

"Divert power from Inert Dampers to sublight engines."

"Done Sir. Speed increase by a factor of 25 percent."

<11 seconds later>

The Ionized Tractor beam locks onto the Starfleet Vessel and slows the decent to the surface of the planet. The shuttle bangs the planets surface lightly.

"Dyien, to Starfleet Vessel, need a lift to the battlefield?"

[Zaphan]

"As you wish, Mark."

Zaphan does a mock bow and gives him a cheeky smile.

[Zayan]

*Zayan sees the guards go flying and is addressed by a Loxian who is very much not a Loxian by what she had just seen.  The voice sounds like that of Sanchez' friend so she is inclined to believe him.  Zayan gets her cell mates and those in nearby cells to stand up.  Going to the door of the cell she closes her eyes.  Using her fingers she feels for the emergency latch.  Upon finding it Zayan goes into a meditative trance with a low humming.  An electric charge protecting the latch goes off, but she pushes the pain away and manages to trigger the latch on the first try.  The latch triggered, the electric charge stops and the door opens.  She takes a moment to steady herself and walks over to one of the wall pannels.  Opening the pannel she rips out a few of the wires that control the locking mechanisms on all cell doors.  Sparks fly all over and loud clicks are heard as every door is unlocked.*

Those of you who are able to move help those that are not able to.  Head for the exits, I can only give you a bit of time before they reactivate the security.  There should be weapon lockers in the room left of every exit, grab what you can.  They will be needed.

*Seeing the rest of the prisoners off she looks at her companions: Zaphan, Airis, and Taurik.*

We will go this way.

*Zayan points in the opposite direction of the fleeing prisoners.*

[Taurik]

"Let us depart immediately."

They move toward the hangar, stealthily dispatching any guards on the route. Taurik stands watch as the two Loxians and the Starfleet doctor board the freight vessel. Taurik himself boards, and walks to the cockpit where Zayan and Zaphan are.

"We must leave soon. Suspicion is arising, and I doubt the diagnostic program will continue much longer."

[Blaze]

*Seeing Taurik was being surrounded bye loxian soldiers the soldiers kept hemming in on him wave after wave, Blaze thought it would be tactically wise to make a door for the Taurik should he need it in the infantry lines, Blaze and Ardeth raised there rifles  in a kneeling position still using the hill as cover they opened fired there rifles were pumping out multiple phaser fire as the rifles were set for burst mode and mowed down as many of the infantry as possible then began tossing grenades to there flanks, the blast from the grenades had the same effect as the quantom launchers except on a smaller scale the troops stood there stunned afraid to go forward and meet the same fate as there comrades while there commanders were urging them forward, a single shot from Blaze's rifle sent one of the infantry commanders to there death which reinforced the fear in the loxian infantry*

"IS THAT KID OUT YET!!!!?, We cant keep up with this out here.  Wont be much time till they start sending in there big guns and personally I dont think I brought enough payload for that!.  Can Zayan be beamed out ?"

[Nonir]

"Yes, Sir. A ride would not hurt. I could use the time to get that impulse drive operating. Would you happen to have the ETA of those blasted Loxion crafts?"

[Dyien]

While the Avenger is hovering high over the freighter, Dyien uses the transporters to transport both Nonir and Ftima to the frieghter before moving off to a safe distance of 100 klicks to the south-south west.

"After I leave, cloaked the Avaenger. Prepare to transport me to close to the Freighter."

"Aye sir. One moment please."

Within seconds, Dyien disappeared into a haze of orange light and re aooeared close to Baphomet location.

[Randall Sanchez]

*The child is halfway coming out as Sanchez is still at Zayan's side.*
"I'll help where I can too, doctor... It's just... just... this is nothing like the medical simulations at the academy..."
*His eyes start to toll.*
"But I assure you, doctor, I can handle it finee........."
*Then Sanchez faints.*

(OFF: I have deleted Blaze's post. You are not to post here, Blaze, until given express permission. You have no idea how to locate the compound, and you have no way to get to the planet.)

Taurik was hoisted to his feet as the dropship descended into the hangar bay just below the surface. The engines spool down, and the guards begin to lead him into the compound. As he gets into the detention block, he spots General Zayan and another Loxian in captivity. Giving Zayan a slight glance, he lets loose a small psionic burst, knocking both of his guard escorts to the floor, unconscious.

"General, I am Captain Taurik of Starfleet. We must exfiltrate this compound immediately."

[Zayan]

*Zayan takes a seat feeling a bit tired from all the running and the jaring of her broken arm.  She gets a sharp pain shooting up her spine and lets out a scream.  Zayan then feels like she is sitting in something wet. Gritting her teeth from the pain she manages to speek.*

We need to get out of here now!  The compounds anti-air defenses will be back online at any moment.

*Another wave of pain goes through Zayan's body and a second scream slips out of her lips.*
