Ian punches a few buttons on the control panel

"Well, we were having a few problems with the onboard phaser targeting system, but I took care of that earlier.  As far as torpedoes, we have a full load of both quantum and photon, and I personally made sure all were checked over to prevent accident.  All systems good to go, sir."

Major Malcom looks back towards his display

Also, I had a slight problem with the shields, but it turned out to be a few of the capaciters were acting up.  Everything will be fine now.[/I]

"I'm standing by with phasers.  Permission to let loose a volley of phaser fire?  I want to test out the multi-targetting capabilites."

Ian checks his controls

"Sir, long distance scanners are picking up heavy damage to the base.  I can also make out one ship."

He pauses to confirm

"It's a Borg cube, sir...."

"Aye sir.  Using the information downloaded from Captain Picards Enterprise for targeting locations.  This outta do the trick."

He taps the commands in.

"Aye sir.  I'm trying every backdoor I can think of."

Ian is tapping the control buttons with obvious frustration.

"I think I have at least located the position of the Borg drone.  He has 'ported close to main engineering, and appears to be somewhere around there, still."

He taps his badge.
