Mission 1: "Here Comes The Cavalry"

"We no longer have the luxury of trying to save the freighters. The engineering teams are to return to the ship, the medics with the security escort should tag every surviving injured or uninjured for transport, we'll have to clear the cargo bay if space runa ou...".
He was cut off as the ship shook violently. The large Heraan ships, and the scouts, had together fired at the Iroquois' propulsion systems. The lights on the bridge dimmed, and came back on emergency power.

=A= Away team, step it up if you can. We have to get out of here =A=

"Do we have engines?" He called loudly, having a strong feeling it was not going to be a good answer. The hit had done serious damage.

[FredLurado]

"Ensign, you and Commander Lollock, being our senior security and tactical officers, may begin checking the ships defense systems. We can be sure they are damaged after the melee. We must expect further need of them".

[Halcyon]

"Captain, with your permission, I'd like to open a comm channel to the hulk of the Heraani cruiser. I can begin a data transfer and can translate the data much faster than the computer and universal translator. I can have the entire Heraani memory core stored on our computer in about... seventeen minutes."

[Tara Lollock]

Understood ensign you may report to the infirmiry. I'll transfer tactical to the cammand console beside me.

Lieutenant, do your best to evade them.

=/\=Commander Teranis, take us to grey mode. Leave only the propulsion, weapons, shields and life support systems at normal levels. Hopefully that will lower our signiture enough to elude them.=/\=

"Of course, I may be a lil crazy but not incompetant.  They were transfered just a few minutes before I came on board.  Lt, Travis.  I think that physicals will be in order soon." he told them.

I think you need to take a step back and remember your place here ensign. They put in a chain of command for a reason. Strong "suggestions" to me, is still classes as trying to tell me what to do. Beleive me, ive seen more combat then you can handle. I know what im doing.
=^=Teranis to the Iroquois. We have found the captain of the Freighter, however Lt. Starchaser says he is in need of immediate attention. He may have fital information about the atack. Are you able to lower the aft shields so we can beam him, and a helm officer to sickbay?=^=

-In sickbay-

Dr. Travis was going about tending to minor injuries of the crew. He managed enough time to speak to his assistant.

"I need you to pull up the medical records of those injured on the other ship. I'll monitor their Captain myself."

Lurado turned quickly as Halcyon spoke, he was caught off guard by the ease the AI could have with retrieving the possibly valuable information. "Do it" he said flatly.

Feeling somewhat relieved that something good might come of the situation, he returned to the question of the freighter.
"It is possible that destroying the freighter is what I would need to do in this situation, but I take it on alone because I very simply do not know".
He stared in one location as he continued.
"What I do know, is that I will not!", his voice raised, "-lose another ship to them".

"Sorry if I wasn't clear ma'am, I can fix the torpedo systems fine, but they will take some time. Meaning it would be quicker for an engineer to deal with the shields rather then me finishing this and then doing the shields. Engineers have a better understanding of the shield energy transfer systems. After all I'm a security officer and not really as skilled as the engineers." Swift explained.

"Live Gagh? I don't eat anything unless it's dead and doesn't move." Swift told her. "Though I'm not against trying such things."

<Gets up and goes over to shake Travis's hand rather vigorously to the point he feels his arm is about to shake loose>

"COOK!!!" he says yelling with joy as he rushes over and hugs him.  "How you been?" he says joyously.

"Good to meet you, Lt." <Smiling all the while> "Say where is the medical bay?.  Oh nevermind im sure ill find it."

<Valen then walks over and starts to talk to the ships wall carrying on a general conversation>
