Mission 3: "Resistance is Futile"

Swift walked back on to the bridge, he had successfully put explosives in to all of the torpedoes so they would not fall in the enemy hands.  But more then that he had made it so that the self destruct explosives would trigger secondary explosions and actually set off with the full yield of the torpedo. So if the enemy did take one they would be in for one big surprise.
"Ma'am torpedoes are ready to go and I have routed the self destruct commands to the tactical station and as a backup they can be activated via voice commands by the commanding officer, so you." Swift told her as he took up his position at the tactical station.

OOC: Sorry, my motherboard fried. Also I know it hasn't officially started back up but I really want to post... something.

Alright Lieutenant, you may begin your implementation. It may buy us some time. But i would also like a plan B. I'll have a science team prep a few probes to send out telemetry of other Federation vessels. This way they will hopefully go for a different target.

"Keep in mind Lieutenant, we are still to avoid contact. On that note you may begin the modifications to the torpedoes and then begin working on your plan. You'll have three to four hours, depending on how long we spend at Traquel Beta."

**Turns to helmsman**

"Set course for Traquel Beta  at warp six."

Helmsman:"Aye, Captain. Engaging at warp six."

Clark turned around from the helm for a moment. "If we could," he said, "I'd like to get a little of that extra power for the engines. Shields and armor will do us no good if we get caught in a tractor lock and skewered with a cutting beam."

(OFF: Peek-a-boo...)

"Captain I'll go and oversee the modifications." Swift told Lollock and then left the bridge, get got out a datapadd and quickly began typing out the specifications for the work he wanted carrying out. He then tapped his comm badge and opened a link to Teranis. "Swift to Commander Teranis, if you are finished with the shields sir is there any chance you could work on the modifications to the ship I have planned? I can handle the torpedoes, however my security team is obviously not as skilled in engineering as you and your team."

"Oh, well, sir I don't need much." Swift said and then began to casually list off the things he needed doing. "I just need you to scar the hull, vent a little warp plasma, open one or two sections to space, and create some false readings. Readings that say we have a warp signature of a warp five, have no shields, no phasers, and a small antimatter containment leak. You know, stuff that makes the ship look like a useless piece of rubbish." He added and finally reached the torpedo bay, he had five security officers and they immediatly began the careful process of taking apart highly explosive torpedoes and fitting them with another explosive.

---===Important Message from Expansion Fleet Administration===---

We are beginning the final mission of the current Expansion Fleet story arc, and this mission will conclude the events that have been building for the past few years, some of which began at the launch of Expansion Fleet. This mission will yield an end to the Heraan War, and will be concluding the events of the entire game.

This gives us a unique opportunity, one that we've not explored before, nor have most of the Star Trek RPG's out there. We are going to be starting a new "series" of sorts, in much the same way a new Star Trek series precedes the last. This will give everyone the opportunity to start fresh, with all new characters, new backstories, and new sub-plots. We will even be introducing a new region of space, a new Starfleet space station, and an entirely new fleet.

For the duration of the final mission, due to the extremely cooperative nature of such a finale, we will be combining the posts of all four ships, as well as those of the Starbase Avalon personnel, into a single forum, to alleviate the need to read several forums at once. This mission is to be contained in it's own forum, located at the top of the list of Expansion Fleet vessels we are all familiar with. The new forum will move no one from their previous situations, but will direct them toward the goings-on of this finale. I will be posting a list of guidelines necessary in such a forum, please read those first before posting.
