Jones who was listening in on the conversastion from the doorway only shook his head, "You will hear no complaint from me... in fact I am all ready and eager to see this base, ten levels you say? That is a big base... amazing as well... so, I guess we wait for Mr. Braxton correct?" Jones eyes showed that he was looking forward to seeing this base, he was really looking forward to seeing what was what.

If what Kassie said was true, then the use of phaser technology hasn't been invented at that era, they were using laser weapons and such. So we dont know what to expect in there. The marines do follow procedure well, as i said they are very good at what they do, however they seem to think in that retrospect that they are better than us.

"Oh dont worry, the cats are probly dead by now.  Once a brain has taken its first step into being half-machine it doesnt require to need anything to sustain itself so food isnt a requirement.  Instead the brain goes into a very protective shielded part of the robot usually where a humanoid head would be and control the android body as usual like we would walk around, so would they.  Robotic bodies can live for centuries without much assistence."

"This deck is heavily shielded to protect this lab and others below it.  Im using my scanner here to detect any robotic presense, beyond deck 4 there is nothing, looks like something had it collapse in on itself.  Should be easy for you to excavate.  The walls and equipment down there should still be of use if the cave in didnt destroy the stuff.  I know our technology isnt the best but it worked and thats what mattered to us.  Sometimes we would also scavenge for parts we needed.  Turn old things into something new."

Let them underestimate us. go in 4 teams 20 men block off their escape path behind the landing zone, another 20 to block off the east. just before sending the main group of 60 into battle, sen 5 or 10 men in. make them think we have nothing. Dont fire at them, let them make the first shot, as soon as they do attack from all sides at once. put them off guard.

Cook blinked... "I did? Oh my... you asked me to repeat all my questions.. and I seemed to have... even ones that were answered, my apologies." Cook then sighed and blinked before settling on one question.

"Could you tell us a little about your history of this planet? And what is this Cat you keep talking about? Your food source?" Cook was fearing the answer but he wanted to know, he needed to know.
