Mission 8: The Battle of Avalon

[Baphomet]

=A=USS Rivendell to Frontier Station=A=

"Frontier Station, this is the USS Rivendell, requesting permission to dock."

[Taurik]

Taurik paced carefully about the bridge, contemplating his place in this upcoming battle. He was a starship captain, and his presense on the bridge was important. On the other hand, he was a Sentinel, and his assistance against the Na'jigat would be invaluable.

"Captain," Commander Baphomet said suddenly. "They are arriving. I am detecting immense psionic readings."

"On screen," Taurik said. The space on the screen looked calm for a moment, but gained a slight violet tint as the Na'jigat clusters moved into the area.

Out of nowhere, a small, golden vessel flies out of warp and right through the Na'jigat, and stops.

"Captain," Baphomet said without delay. "I'm reading the vessel's composition as unknown. We've never seen them before."

As if in answer to her statement, more vessels of varying class began to arrive in the same manner. One at first, then more. Tens made way to hundreds.

"They are powering weapons," the science officer stated calmly.

Taurik stared at the screen in subtle surprise, and addressed the fleet. "Captain Taurik to the fleet," he said, pausing before continuing.

"Battlestations."

[Morgan Freeman]

"The station and the section of the Rivendell that fires the blast would be defesless to conventional weapons yes.

Lt Contact Avalon station and ask them for approval to carry out our plan.  
kassie, work with our new cadet to prepare the buzzard Collectors for emission.  I also need instructions that we can send to the rest of the fleet."

[Richard Ransom]

OOC: Erh!!! Ignore that last post, I don't know what happened there.

=A=Lt. Cmndr. Baphomet to Admiral Garhart=A=

"Aye, Sir."

Once on the Station, Baphomet heads to the nearest Turbolift.

To Computer: "Operations"

The turbolift comes to a holt and Baphomet steps into Operations, sees Admiral Garhart.

"Leiutenant Commander Baphomet, reporting as ordered Admiral."

[Will Matthews]

"Aye Sir".
He began the process of taking the main saucer section by tractor beam.

[Baphomet]

"Thank you Commander."

Baphomet raised her hand up to her shoulder and placed it on Morgans.

"Although I believe it to be logical for all Expansion Fleet vessels to have the ZPE converter and Shift-Drive, I believe Captain Taurik thinks differently, so this will be the last vessel that will have the ZPE converter and Shift-Drive, to continue would be illogical."

She then placed the Shift-Drive in stand-by mode and prepared for the docking sequence, once cleared to do so.


OOC: I invented the Shift-Drive, as I was researching Quantum Physics, String-Theory and M-Theory and of course I fell in love with the idea of Zero-Point Energy and believed it would be the best way to power a Starship, due to the fact Antimatter/Matter reactors are so prone to destruction.
Also ZPE is clean, there are no waste by-products what so ever and as long as the Universe (or Multiverse) exists, so will ZPE.
Just thought I would let you know of the background of these two new technologies and also to say it is not infalible, anything that can block Subspace energy, will render the Shift-Drive inoperable.

OFF: I see thats a problem... I didn't know there was currently no mission for this ship. Where is the ship at the moment anyway?

[Taurik]

(OFF: Sorry I've been gone so long. My home internet was cut off, and I've had a hard time getting on. I might be scarce for the next couple weeks.)

"Keep me informed, Commander."

[Morgan Freeman]

Morgan sits down in the captains chair.

"Baphomet request permission do dock.
Mr. Matthews scan the station and the surrounding area make sure all is clear and then take helm control and dock us with Frontier station."

[Kassie]

Cadet Whillis, Take my seat, Ill take Navigation, And I will try to help you out from here *then smiles over at Whillis as he takes helm*

Captian, What are your orders, Helm and Navigation standing bye.

The Skytoucher came into range at the time, a Hail went to the fleet.
=A= Captain Lurado here, The USS Skytoucher has arrived and is ready to assist in any ways =A=

After the seperation sequence the new injector assembly acted up a little bit and then was repaired.  

Helm move us into postion Freeman 17Tango3

Helm: Aye sir.....We are in position.  

=A= Section 3 in position.  All sections prepare for partical release =A=

[Vincent Garhart]

Off: Post to station ops from now till your return to the rivendell please.

"Commander, welcome to the station.  We require your assistance with a little scientific problem.  Follow me over to the science station please."

[Rasmain]

*Rasmain looked at Captain Taurik and smiled*

"Thank you Sir!"

*After nodding to Taurik, Rasmain layed back down onto the biobed again and fell asleep*
