tregare looks at his torpedo telemetry and screams

"helm hard a port nowsheilds full on starboard, sir the topedos are are turning on us attemping to self destruct them now"

2 of the four topedos explode and tragare succesfully destroys the other two with well aimed shots as the rivendell is shook violently from the explosions

"captain i sugest we either forgo torpedo use or operate them manualy til we find a way to fix whatever is going wrong with them sir"

tragare continues to fire phasors at the targets as they return fire, abrubtly some of the fire lessons

"sir one enemy vessel appears disabled two more return fire has weakened but the last one seems to be holding just outrside of phasor range "

T'lana

OOC: Not much if a cavalry, but oh well...

IC:

T'lana rounded the reactor just as Taurik's back was against the wall, noticing three of the attackers on the ground, T'lana deactivated the fighting pike mode and aimed the forcelance at the aliens and fired continuously.

The forcelance caused the area around the dodging Heraani to sizzle as the electromagnetically encapsulated, superheated plasma was ejected from the alien weapon.

T'lana new she couldn't beat these aliens in melee or hand to hand, but a hail-fire of superheated plasma was just as effective, as two Heraani fell to her attack despite their  parrying with their energy blades.

Stopping to let the forcelance cool for a second, she loaded two Effectors into the magnetic coil chamber, that while plasma is being used is stored in a magazine built into the forcelance.

Hoping the forcelance had cool enough, T'lana turned and aimed at the Heraani that were now trying to attack Taurik.
Noticing an opening in their attack, T'lana fired the two Effectors hoping that the explosive tipped smart-bullets noticed the opening as well.
One Effector found the opening in a Heraani's defences and dug itself into the Heraani's side and exploded, killing it instantly with the anti-proton charge leaving a gore ridden corpse.
The other Effector wasn't so lucky, as the Heraani heard the tiny MPDD of the effector at the last moment, bouncing of the out electromagnetic field of the energy blade, the Effector had no time to alter course and dug itself into a bulkhead instead; exploding on impact.
All was not lost though, as the concussive force of the anti-proton explosion, knocked the Heraani to the ground.

The forcelance had cooled sufficiently at this time, so T'lana fired multiple plasma bursts at the creature while it was trying to get back up from the deck.
He died in the agony of searing heat, as the plasma bolts found their mark, leaving the creature smoldering on the melted deck floor.

T'lana fell to the floor exhausted, thanking the designers and builders of the alien weapon known as a forcelance, for their ingenuity and ability to make effective lethal weaponry.

After catching her breath, T'lana stood shakily and made her way to Captain Taurik, using the biometric sensors of her tricorder to check for any injuries. Satisfied she re-holstered the tricorder and deactivated the forcelance, giving it time to cool.

"I take it they were Heraani captain?"

Looking around to see Morgan behind a coolant intake, T'lana went around to see if he was alright, noticing his current upset  state, she gave him a hug and stated;

"Are you alright Morgan, we need the reactor up and running, there is only 23 minutes of usable atmosphere left."

T'lana helped Morgan to stand, who shook himself off and appeared to get to work.

Taurik

(OFF: The Evolution has ground forces stranded on a planet, and needs our help to rescue them.)

"Keep running continual scans on the folding anomaly. If necessary, assign them to Orpheus for automation."

The captain then turned to his holographic cadet. "Assemble a landing party, Mr. Beta. Commander T'lana, would you be willing to lend the services of the Kelata to this mission? A stealth transport would be of great advantage."

Taurik

"We now have warp drive, shields and weapons available again," Sanchez said, turning back to his viewer.

"Very well," Taurik replied. "We should make haste toward the fortress world. The Rivendell will maintain an escort position near you, to ensure your safety against any possible attacks. Rivendell out."

The viewer returned to the image of the Evolution, still leaking slight amounts of purple warp plasma from it's starboard warp nacelle. Taurik looked at his helmsman. "Crewman, lock us in formation with the Evolution. Keep us 2500 meters off of their port stern."

T'lana

T'lana sat in the Command Chair and logged in, unsure where the Executive Officer was, the Captain had abandoned ship again for his new found family.
It is against Star Fleet protocols for a Captain to do that, it is only logical, that during combat situations the Captain of a vessel remains of the vessel; unless ordered differently by Star Fleet Command.

"Very well Mr. Sarpedon, comm officer, open a channel."

=A=Rivendell to Evolution=A=

"USS Evolution, this is Lieutenant Commander T'lana, Mr. Sarpedon has discovered an what appears to be an Interdimensional Portal, of which we are investigating. Be advised that there is another Gallifreyan vessel heading towards the planet, no attempt at communication has been made. We will remain here and investigate the Portal, which has remained open."

Taurik

"Orpheus, please keep an eye on the ship, as most of the crew will be on-shore."

Taurik stepped to the turbolift and entered it, and promptly left the Rivendell.

(OFF: During shore leave, it will get pretty boring here. If you haven't already, feel free to go to the Celtic Corner bar on the station, as it's where most of us will be.)

Morgan Freeman

"I have been to hell and back it seems.  I received word from a college of mine that a piece of hull from a ship I helped build had been located.  So I went to find it and the close friend that was piloting the craft.  Sadly neither the craft nor the vessel was operational."

Morgan gets tears in his eyes.

"Anyway, I am so glad I saw you again, I missed you."

Morgan Freeman

Following T'lana like little puppies, Rhiannon and Morgan walk out of the Kelata and follow her down the hall.   "So do we get descriptions or are we going to walk in silence?"  Morgan asked.

Givrillian Sarpedon

Sitting at ops, Sarpedon ran through some scans as the exited slipspace. "I'm picking up various ships around the system, but I can't make them out completely. They seem to be slipping in and out of dimensions, I think, but I'm not entirely sure, I'm still not used to Vulcan interfaces." Sarpedon reported.

"If I'm reading this right though, they are similar readings to what we were getting on the Rivendell when the TARDIS was around, so I would say it is sage to assume they are all Gallifreyan. I can't give you any numbers though."

A small light started blinking on his console. "We're being hailed.....I think."

Taurik

"Thank you, sir."

Taurik teleported himself to the landing bay, and found the sleek, white, alien vessel christened the []i]Cardinal Virtue[/i]. Stepping aboard, he marveled at the design of the vessel. Very artistic, a sharp contrast to the utilitarian design of Federation architecture.

He sat down at the pilot's seat in the cockpit and primed the engines. Lifting the graceful vessel off of the tarmac, he slipped it out of the bay and around the docking ring to the Radiant Thunder.

The Virtue slipped silently into the docking bay, and the brilliant blue glow of the graviton drive subsided, and Taurik stepped out. He tapped his commbadge. "Taurik to bridge. As soon as the Rivendell's senior staff reports in, take us out of the station."

Holographic Officer Beta

"Oooh, this is going to be fun!" Beta exclaimed "Returning fire!"

He tapped on the controls of his station and fired the ships neutron and fusion cannons ((OFF: I'm saving the Quantum Discharge Cannon for something special - since you only put one of them I'm guessing it's powerful)) at the defensive platforms, taking out one and severely damaging the other.

Flickering back to his normal attitude, he reported; "Captain, the platforms are out of commission."

"Your statement is true, however, if you check the computer you will see I still hold the rank of ambassador.  You will also see that I have faithfully guarded Captain Sanchez and assisted the Evolution crew in several drastic missions.  Also sense I still hold the rank of ambassador, it gives me certain freedoms that an actual rank doesnt permit, which is why im sooo.... versatile." he said in a computerized voice.
