AjaxTorbin

=/\=Torbin to bridge, sorry about the hold up, its a mess down here in engineering. i am dumping nacelle energy into the the dish. maximum power in five seconds . . . four . . . three . . . =/\=

Torbin grabs an edge of the console he is working at as he reaches two and grips it for dear life as untold amouts of energy are dumped into the deflector, the energy flow loud enough to drown out the yelling of the other engineers.

Taurik

Sanchez's response came in kind. "I'm not sure about the status of our warp engines at this moment," he said. "Hold on."

"To the best of your knowledge, Commander," Taurik said while waiting, "what would such a folding effect accomplish, assuming it is intentional?"

Morgan Freeman

At exactly 2000 Hours the door to T'lana's quarters chimed.  After a quick enter from T'lana Morgan walked in clean shaven and looking well rested.

"Hello my dear, the dinner looks lovely." He said as he held out flowers.

T'lana

T'lana looked around to Taurik from her console.

"There are many possibilities, but given that there is no black hole present, or concentrated mass of darkmatter, the only logical conclusion is someone is using a form of space-folding drive. Akin to a Coaxial Warp, but far more intense in power and manipulation. But this is all speculative of course, it could simply be some spacetime anomaly that the sensors can not interpolate."

OOC: I will leave it up to you, if you don't like it then it is a spacetime anomaly; if you do, then the sky's the limit.
What wont work is the Warp Drive, the negative-energy field of the Warp Core would not have enough power behind it to form, but easy to get out of, simply leave the localized anomaly with the Impulse Engines and then reform the warp-bubble.

Holographic Officer Beta

Givrillian's hands were flying rapidly over the controls as he performed various evasive manoeuvres while still trying to give tactical maximum firing capacity.
"Sir, due to their numbers, it may be wise to use the ship's multi-vector assault mode to try and even the odds."

Doctor Who

After the reply from his fellow Gallifreyan, the Doctor teleported back up to the TARDIS and went to the Central Control.

The Doctor programmed the TARDIS to fly to the USS Rivendell and opened a channel.

@@TARDIS to USS Rivendell@@

"Well captain, if I am  not needed anymore, I will leave you to it. Before I do though, I shall give you a direct means of contacting me. *The blue Comm-crystal materialized onto Taurik's lap* Of course if you wanted a Gallifreyan on your ship, I could be easily persuaded, I'm getting lonely in my  old age."

*The Doctor smiled*

@@TARDIS OUT@@

The Doctor waited for Captain Taurik's reply, but also had the TARDIS spinning up it's Slipspace Engine.

Morgan Freeman

"How did you wind up in a stasis tube Rhiannon?" Morgan asked while he studied the design of the android.

Holographic Officer Beta

"Got it. You ready Mr. Freeman?" he said, taking the step into the Kelata and heading straight for Helm controls and powering up the system, which he was confident he would be able to pilot considering his background of flying many different ships from all over the Federation.

T'lana

"Interesting...get whatever you need from the Kelata, I will remain with you for protection."

T'lana stated nonchalantly.

Techerakh

"I had no doubt in your motives, I simply needed to hear you speak it."

Techerakh's voice turned sour. "Grave news, you say? We must hear it. You are cleared to land, and you may spare no niceties in approaching the Council immediately. En Taro Adun, brother."

With that, the comm-line cut.

Taurik, upon the docking of the Kelata, instead teleported himself to Admiral Karelia's office. "Admiral, sir, I need use of the Radiant Thunder. Commander T'lana and I have discovered a new ally of the Heraan, and the Gallifreyan Council wishes me to find the source of this threat."

"Are you saying my tactical skills are inadequate?.  Ohhh, theres nothing like blowing something up and watching the hull pieces vaporize under the impact of a quantum torpedoe." He said relishing in past memories.

"Due to contrary belief im not some mindless peice of machinery." he said in a computerized voice.

OOC: In normal circumstances yes, distress calls are broadband subspace transmissions with a twenty lightyear(1 Sector) range, which is then picked up by Subspace Relay Satellites. But temporal anomalies have a tendency to produce false signals as the message bounces through the surface subspace domain.

"Negative Mr. Tragare, the temporal anomaly would simply cause our subspace message to be broadcast further into the future, we would have to reduce the levels of chronons escaping from subspace before any message could be sent."
