Mission 11: "Impromptu Heroism"

"Once you are in position, come to an all stop Mr. Sarpedon and once the vessel is clear launch another probe." T'lana ordered.

Morgan arrived at the shuttle bay and boarded the Kelata.  
After a few shouts to find T'lana, Morgan walked up to her "Nice ship you have here, I always liked the design."  

Seeing the Stasis Unit and the female inside Morgan raises an eyebrow in traditional Vulcan style. "I see this ship comes with frozen people."

I pretty much have the reactor nailed down.  I don't think anyone's found the culprit yet, but I have locked them out of the system for now.

Taurik raised an eyebrow. "I see you intend to make your presence as obvious as possible, HK47. If you intend to remain onboard, please do not badger my helmsman."

Suddenly, the alarm on the tactical console went off. "Sir," the ensign at that station replied, "We're recieving an automated distress call. It's from the Evolution, sir."

"Very well," the Vulcan captain said with a stoic look. "All hands, this is the captain. Report to your stations immediately and prepare for departure. Tactical, relay the coordinates to helm. Crewman, set course for those coordinates, warp nine."

Kassie, while your at that could you use the same lighting pattern on the ship's external lights, we might have one attached to us or at least nearby.

"Thank you Sir"

<Beta walked over to the emergency store and retrieved one of the Type IV Phaser Rifles.>

"Ensign Torbin, I will clear the way to Engineering and then contact you. Could you then please meet me there so we can check over the Warp Core? I am not a fully trained Engineer."

<With that, Beta left the Bridge, tricorder in his left hand, and leveled Phaser in the right.>

"Yessir, Warp 9.7 engaged, ETA is 4.14 hours."

<Sarpedon sat back in his chair, as now there wasn't much for him to do for a few hours, other than monitor the readings on his terminal.>

"I wonder how those Heraani got onboard in the first place? We never detected any enemy ships in our vicinity." <He said under his breath>

[Holographic Officer Beta]

Yes Sir, initiating transport. 10 square meters of their hull to science labs.

"Its wonderful, just a little intoxicating.  I do have to warn you, I haven't done this for a very long time."  he says as he caresses her beautiful face.

[T'lana]

Computer: Warning unknown starship decloaking at grid 0123, 98. Weapons and shields are activated and targeting the Slipfighter.

"Computer, arm antiproton canons, and missiles, prepare for 80 psl multiple attack vessels."

Computer: Warning, at eighty percent - speed of light during battle, the Slipfighter is at risk of total failure.

"I know, follow my orders."

Computer: Acknowledged

T'lana accelerated the Slipfighter to 240,000 km/s, she new that at those velocities the extremely powerful space superiority starfighter could easily outrun the the missiles it fired, so T'lana had to think quick - really quick.

The Heraani Battlecruiser fired at the Slipfighter, at least where it was anyway, as the small 2 person vehicle accelerated just as they fired.

T'lana made a strafing run for the Heraani weapons first, firing two proton/antiproton missiles and a barrage of electromagnetically enveloped antiproton particles from the AP canons.
The missiles hit their mark, but it was the AP Canon blasts that hit their mark. The antiproton bolts interacted with the positive energy of the Heraani shields and they annihilated each other.

The Heraani fired again but they missed, that went on for what seemed a long time as this hit and run is all she could manage in the Slipfighter.

During the battle, the Slipfighter took attack runs at 80 psl but strained when it came to making quick vectoral turns.

Like a wasp against an elephant, the Slipfighter would have been out matched by the Heraani vessel if it wasn't for it's speed.
But this wasp - Slipfighter - was eventually too much for this elephant - Heraani battle cruiser - and the latter suffered from a warp core breach and exploded.

Unfortunately the Slipfighter was caught by the gravimetric shockwave and could no longer handle stress.

Computer: CODE BLACK. Slipstream Core breach in progress. Atmospheric Generator working at 45%. Gravity field Generator 25%. Magneto Plasma Dynamic Drive, offline.
AI Computer Core 90%. Suggest cockpit ejection.

As the Slipfighter spun out of control, T'lana managed to pull the ejection system handle.

"Morgan...need help...ha' to ejec'. Heraani cruiser destroyed..."

The cockpit ejected from the main stardrive section of the Slipfighter, which meant weapons too unfortunately and exploded.

Even T'lana's superior physiology could no longer handle to excessive force of gravity. T'lana passed out as the cockpit spun out of control.
If it wasn't for the on board AI though, the cockpit would be exiting the Avalon's star system at 240,000 km/s, instead of it's now 3000 km/s. Due to the AI's quick thinking and manipulation of the remaining Slipfighter's section's GFG at the last moment the Slipstream Core breached.

[Techerakh]

"Taurik, khala-dho can take decades to fully master, sometimes centuries. This isn't something you can simply learn in a week."

Techerakh sighed, and smiled. "But I will teach you, regardless. Even if you never master it, even grasping the basics is a great accomplishment. However, we have no time to train here. I will join you on the Radiant Thunder, and we will train during our quest to find this new threat."

Techerakh and Taurik left the Temple for the Kelata.

<As Sarpedon turned to his console and entered in the commands, he said to Kassie>

Looks like my first mission gonna be an exciting one. Hope the Evolution's not in too bad a shape though, I always did like the Intrepid-class

<As he said this, he entered in the commands fluently into the console, and the ship lurched into warp>

<Beta walks over and situates himself at the Science station>

"The phaser beam that passed through the Commander damaged the science console logs. All prior logs have been lost, and no more can be made onto the computer. However, as technological sentients, if needed either myself or HK47 can log any data in our memory banks."

<wiping blood and gore from his uniform Torbin glares in a wry way at HK>

"Thanks Hk, but couldn't you kill him in a less,<holds up ichor covered hand> messy way?"

walking over to Tragare, wipeing his hands on his uniform, he cranes his neck and looks at the information on the tricorder.

"Sir, i could modify a torpedo to work as a 'flare', it should reveal any ships nearby."
