Mission 11: "Impromptu Heroism"

<As the ship came out of Warp, the viewscreen changed to show the current scene; an Intrepid-class ship, the Evolution, and in the near-distance (i.e. not too far away, but not too close yet) another ship, indistinguishable at this magnification.>

"Captain, we have dropped out of Warp, right by the USS Evolution. From what the navigational sensors are telling me, there's another ship in the vicinity. I can't tell with my instruments, but it might be a Heraani ship. Kassie? Can you identify it?"

[Givrillian Sarpedon]

<Sarpedon's hands flew over the controls.>

"3-Quarters Impulse engaged Captain! We are approaching the Heraani ship on a standard attack vector. Ready for evasive manoeuvres."

[T'lana]

T'lana looked into Morgan's eyes, her own eyes clearing, she was no longer intoxicated.

"As you humans say, it is like riding a bike, once you know how you never forget."

[Morgan Freeman]

Looking up from his work on the reactors control console, Morgan noticed Captain Taurik.  "I am well captain, and am ready to return to my duties."  As soon as he said the last word to Taurik, life support power returns to the station.  

"At least no one will run out of air" Morgan says to Taurik not expecting him to be amused.

[Taurik]

(OFF: I wasn't ready to leave Gallifrey yet. Consider this to be in the interim between the Council dispersing and the Kelata leaving for Dantor.)

Taurik stepped up to Master Techerakh, a shameful expression on his face. "Master," he stated, "I have failed to defeat the enemies of the Order. Only by mere chance was I saved from death. Master, the new aliens are ruthless, expert swordsmen, adept at dual-wielding. I realized that my only way to fight back was to attempt it myself, but I was not ready."

"So I make this request of you. I wish to learn the art of khala-dho, the mastery of two khalai, and you are the only Gallifreyan alive to have mastered it. Will you teach me?"

Wow. I mentioned it before to the droid, but has the multi vector mode been actually used on this ship yet? I read about it in the Starfleet databases back on the station

OFF: Just to let you know, the Evolution have launched their beacon, so when we've finished with the intruders on the Rivendell, we won't have to stall getting to the Evolution anymore.

"Captain, may I suggest closing off the Bridge with a lvl 10 force field after the officers who need to leave have done so? We don't want the Bridge to be compromised."

OOC: The last few posts were all directed to the Captain, maybe we should wait for him to post before we ask him about anything else.

Morgan takes T'lana by the hand and leads her into the other room.

<A short time later>
"You really are beautiful, even if you don't believe it" Morgan says as he runs his fingers through T'lana's hair.

[Taurik]

(OFF: Soon.)

"Commander, take us into the station, and dock with the Radiant Thunder. As soon as we're aboard, get the Thunder powered up, I'll need to speak with Admiral Karelia."

[Taurik]

"We could use you at Tactical, cadet."

(OFF: Just googled the White Star. Very nice.)

"Hmmmm, HK47 probly didnt tell you because to him thats a classified subject.  But yes the Multi-vector assault mode has been used plenty of times.  Its only used when more then 1 ship is needed and only if the situation is most dire."

[Taurik]

Taurik grabbed the remains of a dead alien on the bridge and examined it closely.

"I recognize these aliens. They are Heraani assassins, most likely sent here to find a possession of mine."

Taurik grabbed a tricorder and began punching in a set of scanning criteria. As soon as he finished, he handed the tricorder to Ensign Tragare.

"These are the phase variations of Heraani field technology, including both their cloaking and body shield generators. Assemble a security team, and modify all your tricorders to match. Scour the ship and eliminate any of the intruders you find."
