Mission 12: "When It Rains..."

[Chaya Sar]

Chaya Sar followed T'lana into the Observation Lounge, unsure what she could contribute. Standing in the most unassuming part of the Observation lounge possible, she waited for the others to arrive.

[T'lana]

IC: T'lana exited the conference room with the rest of the staff and sat in the Command Chair, logging in as acting Captain, when Orpheus reported and displayed the communication from the USS Marathon of Battle Group Thirteen.

"Open a channel to the Battle Group." Ordered T'lana. "Aye ma'am, channel open." stated the communications officer.

=A=USS Rivendell to Battle Group Thirteen=A=

"The assistance is appreciated Captain Ramirez. The first thing is to appropriate a Transwarp Node from the Borg Sphere, which our chief engineer will install and analyze, once done so we will transmit the specifications to the fleet for installation. The USS Rivendell, will remain in place, as long as the shields can be maintained in order to beam a small contingent over to the Borg Sphere, to tag one of it's nodes. You and the rest of the Battle Group Thirteen will attempt to disable or at least distract the Borg Sphere, on my command."

"SPECIES 3259 DESIGNATION TAURIK, SUB-DESIGNATION CAPTAIN, IS NOT APART OF THE BORG COLLECTIVE. LOCATION OF FORMER DRONE THREE OF TWELVE, ROYAL TRANSPORT ZERO ONE. SPACIAL GRID 0285 BY 0995 BY 0000."

[T'lana]

"Good work Commander, keep me apprised."
T'lana walked out of Engineering and went back to her quarters for meditation.

[Morgan Freeman]

"I thought that didn't agree with you, but I am not your papa so one hot chocolate coming up."  With that Morgan walked over to the replicator and ordered 1 hot chocolate and one root beer.  Grabbing the two drinks he walked back over to T'lana and sat he beverage down in front of her.  "So, what do you think the captain wanted us to gather for?" he asked sitting back down in his seat to T'lana's left.

[T'lana]

Before Morgan left for engineering, T'lana nodded,

"Thank you Morgan."

After the banquet, T'lana picked up the oaken case and went to her quarters. It was illogical to place anything in pride-of-place, but this was the first award T'lana had ever received, so she placed the oaken case open on a table near the door.

After a sonic shower and a change of uniform, T'lana made her way to engineering to check on the only invention that was all hers, the Jumpdrive.

T'lana was fascinated by Larial, she definitely was a marvel of technology and a credit to Morgan's expertise as an engineer.
Larial's Positronic Brain is evolving quickly and she seems to be learning at an exponential rate.

Apparently Captain Taurik must be still mulling over the suggestions T'lana and Morgan have made in regards to testing the Jumpdrive in order to catch the attention of any cloaked vessels. It would also be logical to inform the crew of the Jumpdrive and it's operation, it is one thing to keep it a secret from your enemies, it is another to keep it a secret from the crew.

T'lana went back to work at her Science Station and scanned the area using the electromagnetic sensors to scan any anomalies or shifts in quantum particles. She new it was like looking for the proverbial needle in the haystack, as the humans say, but at least the area to scan was the proximate area to the station.

"No sign of any cloaked vessels thus far Captain, it is logical to assume that whether or not there is a cloaked vessel in proximity to the station, they do not want to be found. The USS Rivendell's sensors are not efficient enough to locate them, of course there is another way, the Radiant Thunder, it is a Gallifreyan vessel and obviously more advanced."

[T'lana]

"Mr. Sarpedon, jump when ready." Ordered T'lana.

[Morgan Freeman]

"Hold on one second commander, I want to run a few scans of the vessel for explosives or other traps that may go off."   Morgan holds his modified tricorder to the vessel and begins his scan.

[Chaya Sar]

Chaya Sar was shocked by the news the female with pointy ears and a bad hair cut just told her, so much so that she had to use her Starfighter as a support.

"I...I don't understand, how could..." Chaya couldn't finish what she was going to say.

[Taurik]

"Yes, how did you know?"

[Taurik]

(OFF: Since the Rivendell has been encapsulated by the sphere, let's assume only the cube headed for Unimatrix 01. You'll have to bust out of the sphere, Voyager-style.)

"Her name is Chaya Sar. I would recommend you avoid trying to assimilate her, it would be an inefficient waste of drones."

[T'lana]

The Away Team made their way down the two decks and three corridors necessary to get the the Science Lab.

[THE BORG COLLECTIVE]

"Optimism is irrelevant, Three of Twelve, we are quite safe."

"DETACHING ROYAL TRANSPORT FROM THE UNICOMPLEX."

Sounds of disconnecting umbilicals, could be heard through the Central Plexus which was aboard what many of come to know as a Borg Diamond, in reality it was the Queen's own personal transport. The Gravimetric Engines could be heard powering up, as the Queen's Transport was no longer connected to the UNICOMPLEX.

"I am not really interested in Chaya Sar anymore, I have changed my mind."
