Mission 12: "When It Rains..."

"Yes I know, SPECIES 0002, they call themselves the Gallifreyans. We have known of Gallifrey for millennia, it was a lonely Galaxy back then." The Borg Queen smiled.

[T'lana]

"Kelata Mana Darsha Kree." Stated T'lana, carefully and calmly.

[T'lana]

"It is agreeable to be back Command and Control. At your discretion Mr. Sarpedon."

[T'lana]

T'lana had just finished her report after analyzing the sensor telemetry from their last mission, just as Ensign T'Kar asked his question.

"The Captain is with Admiral Karelia and the Jedi Knight we rescued. He is introducing her to the Admiral. Any specific reason for your inquiry Mr. T'Kar?"

[Taurik]

"Is there any way to program the inertial dampeners to compensate for the jump?"

[Taurik]

"How I came to possess such things is... irrelevant. Suffice it to say, I was granted quite a gift by a friend of mine."

Taurik closed his eyes, and tried to meditate, if not to think of a means of escape, then just to pass the time.

[Holographic Officer Beta]

"Channel Open"

[Will Karelia]

"Rivendell, this is Starbase Avalon Command and Control. It's good to have you back. Proceed to Docking Pylon Twelve, inner ring."

[T'Kar]

I just wanted to meet the captain and tell him personally it is an honor to serve aboard his ship. Would it be appropriate for me to go now or should I wait until he is done?

[Morgan Freeman]

"Larial, Very impressive deductions.  You have progressed well my dear child.  Please add the micro-fractures on the hull, and the three EPS conduits to the engineering repair schedule.  As for the computer glitches, why don't you fix them."  

Morgan stood closer to his daughter and whispered in her year "For future reference my daughter, A captain does not take kindly to being told there are design flaws in his ship, if you have any further observations like the nacelle placement please tell me about them."

[T'lana]

"Should not be a problem Captain, but I wouldn't recommend it, I suggest using tractor beam projectors."

[THE BORG COLLECTIVE]

The Borg Queen stopped walking around her chamber and came up to Taurik, bending closer to him on the assimilation table.

"Oh I am sorry Three of Twelve, I thought I made it quite clear, you are bate."

The Borg Queen smiled sardonically. "I was merely filling in time, with polite conversation. Tell me, how did you come about such a fascinating weapon and abilities beyond that of your species?"

The Borg Queen acted sincere, whether she was or not would have to be left to the observer. She could easily just assimilate Taurik or Three of Twelve, as the Borg Queen constantly reminded him. But that wouldn't be indicative to her real objective, which thanks to centuries of practice, from the machine side of her at least, would never be obviously apparent.

As much as anyone thinks they know of the Borg Queen's objectives, there was always a deeper one that meant more to her. No other species really did know the true origins of the Borg, but thanks to the Machine Intelligence, the Borg Queen did.
All that really is known, is that the Borg in one form or the other are old, quite possibly as old or older than the universe itself.

[T'lana]

Once the USS Rivendell had exited transwarp, the Borg Transwarp Node could no longer maintain a working status with the power that was feeding it. Burning out just as the Rivendell returned to sublight velocities.

"Captain, might I suggest that you see the doctor and then get some rest from your ordeal."

[Taurik]

Captain Taurik tapped his communicator. "Commander T'lana," he stated, "please meet me in my ready room." The first officer's response was swift. "I'll be there momentarily," she replied.

[Larial]

"Oh I see, I am sorry father."

Larial closed her eyes reconnecting with the Main Computer, she altered the Engineering repair schedule and repaired the corruption to the Computer's Operating System.

Disconnecting, she opened her eyes and looked to her father.

"It is done, I have updated the repair schedule and fixed the corrupted files of the Computer."
