Mission 9: The Evolution's Flight

[Baphomet]

Baphomet looked at her station, wondering why they would use such a well known decoy technique.

"Captain, they are attempting an old method of masking their escape, intiating Quantum Resonance Scan."

Baphomet continued......

"A Quantum Resonance Scan will weed out the fake signatures and reveal the proper one.
This is due to the comparitive difference between the quantum signature of a Starfleet vessel and subspace."

Baphomet had finished the sensor sweep a couple of minutes later, then reported to the Captain.

"The real Evolution is on a heading 224 mark 6."

"Captain, sensors indicate we are 20 minutes away from the Evolution and closing in, we need to make a decision now sir."

[Taurik]

Taurik sighed. "Yes, as a Starfleet captain, and as my friend, you have earned the right to explain yourself."

(OFF: Baph, the point was that there is no real power loss, and Taurik isn't really incapacitated. He's going AWOL for a short time, and is giving you a cover story to tell Vorak. It's kind of a "wink-wink" kind of thing. Basically, Taurik is saying to leave the Evolution alone, and to go report the mission failed.)

IC: "Commander, a Loxian shuttle has docked with the USS Evolution.
Captain Taurik is no longer aboard the Evolution, it seems he used Psionic Teleportation, sensors indicate he portaled into the heart of the Capital."

"Aye Commander, initiating launch sequence."

**Vulcan Shuttle Kelata**

Baphomet cycled the shuttle bay doors and launched out of the USS Rivendell to take up position and match velocity with the USS Evolution.

She activated the Ablative Armor Generator and was ready to cloak at a moments notice.

"On-mass Transporter relay network is complete, I am ready to begin when you are Captain Sanchez and Commander Freeman.
Also might I suggest Captain Sanchez, that if you intend going to the surfice, that you do so aboard my vessel, you have seen it's capabilities, it is the only logical choice open to you.

"Acknowledged Commander."

Baphomet looked at the science station and adjusted the sensors to scan everything and everything, unfortunately due to the asteroids of the Loxius system some of the sensors beams were being reflected back to the Rivendell.

Considering this problem, Baphomet decided that the most logical thing to do would be for the Dyien's ship could fly around the system, sending the sensor readings from the Avenger back to the USS Rivendell.

"Dyien it would be appreciated if you could take the Avenger out and around the Loxius system to boost the Rivendell's sensor output, it seems that the asteroids contain an element or elements that are reflect some of the sensor beams back to the Rivendell."

She guessed this element is a rare but stable version of Unundentium, which Baphomet believed the Evolution attracted as it passed through the asteroid field, which would explain how the primary Loxian sun began its thermodynamic cycle again."

[Will Matthews]

"Is relief needed down there? I know there can't be much with a battle over. But I and my security teams are well fresh up here".

[Mark Travis]

Lt. Travis takes out a regenerator and begins repairing the generals burns.

"I checked the child for and obvious medical problems shortly after birth. Nothing requires immediate attention however tests would be prudent."

[Morgan Freeman]

"Slow to impulse and request permission to dock." Freeman ordered as he arrived on the bridge.

[Taurik]

"I would rather you not use the cloaking device. The fact that it was illegally installed would not reflect well upon this crew, were it discovered." Taurik said, stressing the word "illegally".

"But, knowing that, you may proceed."

[Morgan Freeman]

"I agree with Commander Baphomet.  If they show any sign of not cooperating, which they will, we should be ready to disable the ship."

[Kassie]

*While acting as helmswoman, Kassie turns around to face Taurik with a worried look on her face*

"Captain, Please dont hold my father responsible for going with his captain.  Remember, your crew would do the exact same thing if the situations were reversed.  My father is only doing what he thinks is best, and hes only being loyal.  Just like your crew is to you."
