Mission 9: The Evolution's Flight

"I am requesting permission to beam aboard, I beleive I can be more assistance over there then on this ship."

[Zaphan]

After winning every hand of poker and drinking a few synth-ales, Zaphan left Ten Forward for somewhere else, anywhere.
She wandered the halls and multiple decks for what seemed like hours, until she reached a descision; Zaphan decided to go to the Bridge.
And so she did, once on the Bridge Zaphan looked around until a rather beautiful Vulcan stepped in front of her.

[Taurik]

"For me to abandon the Loxian people would have gone against all I believe, as well as causing me to betray my friend in his time of need. But, as I said, I will face the judgement of Starfleet Command. I will also ensure that none of my crew faces disciplinary action."

[Kelli Lauren]

Commander Lauren and two security officers from Starbase Avalon walk onto the bridge. Lauren moves up to Captains Sanchez and Taurik.

"I'm very sorry, sirs," she said solemnly. "But it's time to leave."

[Baphomet]

"Captain, given that the Rivendell out classes the Evolution, this should be relatively a simple matter."

Baphomet continues...

"The difficulty will be in disabling Captain Sanchez's vessel without detroying it, given their already less than suitable structural disposition."

She ran a couple of sample senarios in to the computer, taking into count the Evolution's reduced structural integrety.
She pondered for a few minutes, the best course of action to propose to the Captain.

There were many possible outcomes, but most usually in the demise or further damage of at least one or both of the vessels, which of course was unacceptable.

The objectives, would have to go like this:

1. Disabling the USS Evolution's defensive and offensive systems.
2. Bringing the USS Evolution out of Warp, preventing it going back to Warp, without destroyng the vessel.

The first, is simply a matter of low yield phaser strikes at the shield and phaser emitters of the oposing vessel.

The second, is going to be a little more tricky than that.
But not impossible......

"Captain, as soon as we are in range, a series of phaser strikes at approximately 42% yield at their phaser and shield emitters should be executed.

To bring her out of Warp safely, will be a difficult three pronged attacked.

The best way to achieve this final goal, would be to disable the Evolution's nacelles with an Antigraviton pulse of 56.9 gigajoules.
Then it is a matter of capturing the Evolution with with a tractor beam to slow the vessel and bring it safely out of the collapsing subspace field.

The timing will have to be precise given that when the Warp field of the Evolution collapses, the vessels mass will return to it's proper measurements.

Taking these calculations into account, I jave determined that the tractor beam must be maintained at 99.7 to 100% strength at all times and we will have only 3.26 minutes to do it in."

[Taurik]

Taurik presses a button, opening visual communications with the Evolution.

"This is Captain Taurik. You are to disable your engines immediately, and your command staff is to be transferred to the Rivendell. We will be taking you back to Starbase Avalon to be held accountable for your crimes."

[Taurik]

(OFF: No, I was counting on the fact that you all would follow Taurik's orders anyway. Taurik is siding with Sanchez, and he's giving you a cover story to give to Vorak.)

Well Commander I think it may have been something that happened when he was off the Ship. I think it might be something to do with how he is now the defender of the universe. I think he has this little thing. I don't think it is so much his wish to help one over another but the want o help the oppressed. weather it is oppression by one of the race found in the centre of the universe Commander or someone being opressed by the government. and his layalty to a friend Like Admiral Sanchez I think is not such a promeint thing. that is how I see it sir. I would fit better with his Vulcan Heritage better that being emotional Commander.

"Baphomet, relay the information to the Evolution and theorize on a way to disable the bases defences."

[Baphomet]

Baphomet arrived at Shuttle bay one to see the Scorpion powering up it's systems.

She headed for the Kelata and activated the Biometric locking system, the shuttle opened its airlock and in a moment Baphomet was sitting at the helm and had the ship powered up before the airlock could fully cycle.

The Kelata neared the Rivendell and came to a complete stop near the Shuttle bay doors.

"Commander Freeman, this is Lt. Commander Baphomet requesting permission to dock."

[Will Matthews]

"50 security officers are prepared. I will accompany them if I may, we will leave within the hour".

[Morgan Freeman]

Morgan turns to Baphomet "I want a scan of the surrounding area.  We need to establish control over the system and then we can consentrate on the planet."

[Will Matthews]

Matthews entered the sickbay, followed by two security officers.
"Captain..Taurik" He added the name, seeing both Captains together. "We are here for Captain Sanchez, if he is to be detained untill we return to the station, that is".
