Mission 10: "Power of the Ancients"

[Will Matthews]

Matthews scanned the terrain as the airlock opened. He held his phase compression rifle at waist level, and signaled for half of the security team to go ahead, and half to take up the rear.

[Taurik]

Taurik, unsure how exactly to use the nanite communication system, simply projected a thought to T'lana. "I am slightly busy at the moment. I leave the decision up to you."

He noticed the Heraan creeping closer and closer as he backed toward the lieutenant's ambush squad. Suddenly, as the time was right, he leaped backwards and yelled, "Now, lieutenant!"

[Taurik]

(OFF: I have something planned, but you're right, it's not progressing fast enough.)

After removing the entire attacking soldier force, Taurik was faced with just the officer. Luckily for all of them, the officer was not a very high-ranked one, and therefore had a quite basic grasp of the psionic arts. It was a quick battle to dispatch him, as Taurik deftly went into a blade lock with him, pushed the opposing blade away, and slammed the Heraan with a blast of energy, crushing his chest.

"We must hurry, whatever they were searching for has already been found, we must quickly procure a way onto the enemy ship. There is a gravity lift not very far away, if we can gain access to it, we can ride it all the way into the Heraani cruiser."

Will Matthews stepped onto the bridge of the ship. He never ignored his Captains call.
"Tactical reports standing by, sir".

[Leon Kennedy]

Ensign Leon Kennedy reporting for duty as security officer

Jones turned to the Captain... "I will attend, but only until the chief of engineering has reported, I am not a senior staff member at the moment." Jones felt that he should state regulations as the reason why he was handing over a report that he had pulled from his debriefing from his first venture into the Van'Gu Cluster.

On the bridge, Matthews continued to examine the readings from the sensors. They had been in the cluster for a long while now, with nothing. He had seen a few readings that excited him, but each was passed away as something unimportant before he could announce a probable finding. He finally gave way to waiting, and tapped his comm badge.
=A= Bridge to Engineering, Commander, now may be a time to set out one of our 'bread crumb' beacons. Also, do we have any probes to launch ahead yet? Our own sensors, even with some of the adjustments, aren't finding anything. I may be jumping the gun on expecting to find something out here, but it won't hurt to put all resources on this =A=.
He glanced a final time at his readings, and turned to the tactical officer.
"Ensign Kennedy, you have tactical". He went to the ops station, where Taylor stood working.
"Anything on your console Ensign?".

[Dean Starwind]

*... Dean sees a yellow shirt approach him. The man extends his hands and introduces himself...*

"Welcome to the Rivendell Commander. I am Lieutenant Will Matthews, chief of security and tactical. I've been here my entire Starfleet career, I am sure to say it is a fine place to serve".

*...Dean grasps the mans hand and smiles...*

"Thank you, Lieutenant. It is a pleasure meeting you. Later on I could use a tour to get familiar with the ship. I'll be no good commanding her if I don't know a scarp about her."

*...He then gets the comm. from engineering...*

"All of the probes are ready to go and we are ready down here to enter the nebula."

*...He taps his badge and responds...*

"Thank you, err... I am afraid I am not yet familiar with all the crew around here but I am Commander Starwind. Your new XO. I will be down there in a few minutes to get acquainted. Starwind out."

*...He looks at Matthews awaiting his reply...*

"Acknowledged Captain, initiating cloaking system *Kelata cloaks and activates it's ablative armor* is there anything I can do from out here Captain?"

The Kelata's cloaking system is the result of millennia of advancement in Vulcan technology, using a Phase-shift Cloaking System, the Vulcan Stealth Ship is nearly completely undetectable, with a 99.99% invisibility rating.

But was only really possible due to T'lana's work on the Slipspace Engine, a device that shunts the vessel into Hyperspace (Slipspace), an alternate dimension that exists above the normal four Dimensions of spacetime.

[Taurik]

Taurik arrived in Transporter Room One and immediately stepped up to the pad. "Chief, set destination for the shuttlecraft Kelata, holding just off the port stern."

The team stood for a moment longer before dematerializing, arriving a second later on the Kelata.

[Doctor Who]

With a flash of photonic energy, a Gallifreyan Battlecruiser exited a spacetime vortex along side the USS Rivendell.

[Galen]

"I wouldn't say I want to be your companion, but I may have a few uses to you doctor, after all who do you think designed our newer ships."

Galen sits and takes a tea.  

"You know our people, all talk, no listen.  How are things here."

[Galen]

"Interesting, a Vulcan male, I have always wondered when someone would start using them.  I thought it would take another 100 years, but o well, me and time never did get along very well."

[Taurik]

Taurik stood and walked down a few steps closer to the viewscreen.

"Very well. Helm, begin disengagement procedures."
