Mission 4: "When Science Turns to Chaos"

[Raszagal]

Raszagal decided that now was as good a time as any, and gave a customary marine salute. "Sir, yes, sir."

[Raszagal]

"Great," Raszagal said to herself at the sight of the copper-colored droid, rolling her eyes a bit.

[William Richerd]

William Richerd relieved the guards in front of the rift generator and stood at attention there, he had a look of someone that was getting ready for anything that might come his way.

The other person that relieved him was a 2nd Lt. that he had teamed up with on the patrols. He looked as the two guards moved on to start on their patrols of the ship for another hour before they took a break, Richerd liked this, he could set his clock to patrol timetables, and that was a good thing liked about this Marine division, especially in the frontiers of space.

[Simon Rajnus]

<Engineering>

"Alright, Move all personel to the upper decks and the Shuttlebay deck.  Keep power to the turbolifts online, but cut power from the rest of the ship except for those that have starfleet and marine personel on them.  Raise shields and transfer power from those decks into the shields matrix, cut power to the warp engine but keep power to the impulse engines, we can survive without warp for the time being.  Should beable to get shield strength up to 75% minimum.  Or I could modify the shield matric to use up less power while having a new shield design I been working on replace our current shields in a way.  Would require less power to maintain to keep this Rift open." Simon said as he took a container out of his pocket and inserted it into the console releasing billions of tiny nanites to repair the damage that was sustained.

"Watch these lil buggers work.  If needed we can use them as a additional power source." Simon said as he watched his nanites go to work.

[John Moore]

John took a moment to sigh in frustration. He then reached over and shut down the systems in the flyer. Standing up, he shouted to his men.

"You heard him, Marines! Get off this bucket! Stow that gear! Move it! Move it! Move it!"

A few of the marines hesitated, obviously frustrated with not getting any action, and not wanting to go put everything away again. John stepped up so close to them he was literally in their faces.

"You know what an order is, Marine?"

"Yessir, but-"

"No 'but's Corporal! I gave you an order and you will follow it! Understood??"

"Yes....sir." the marine said, grudgingly picking up his gear.

"I said move it, Marine! If you're not done in thirty seconds I'll bunk you back down to Cadet and have you transferred to Starfleet!"

The Corporal's back snapped straight and he almost ran back to the marine barracks.

[Voyager]

<Bridge>

A message came through the rift to the bridge.

=/\= Ensign Dolan of the New Terran Empire to any ships on the other side of the rift.  Do not send any vessels through the rift, the Iroquois will be through the rift shortly.  As soon as they are through, close the rift as fast as you can.  An experimental weapon is going to be tested and we don't know the full effects.  If any ships of yours come through, they will probably not come back.  I repeat, don't send any ships through the rift.  =/\=

[William Richerd]

William Richerd entered the Bridge of the ship. Right behind Balkazar.

"Captain, Major Richerd reporting for duty sir." He said in a respectful tone of voice.  He was looking forward to this mission, mainly because he was wondering what might happen next.

[Jeroen Bode]

"The Captain of this lovely ship is Captain Jeroen Bode....and that would be me"

*extends his hand*

[Balkazar]

<Marine Barracks>

"Yeah ok, Get your gear on and form up with the others.  Wait a minute, your not Black Wolf are you?.  Eastwoods friend?" Balkazar asked questioningly.

[Thomas Johnson]

***Lothlorien***

*Checks his sensors*

"Captain, I'm picking up two vessels near us but I can be certain, the nebula is still interfering...I'll try to boost the sensors"

[Balkazar]

=^= "Well thats some good news, Captain.  Here's the bad news, from what Captain Rajnus has told us, some of them were able to escape using the stations shuttle bays.  On top of somehow the rift generator opened a gate between our world and these creatures world.  Unsure if their from another dimension or what though.  But its obvious their hell bent on destroying all life and the majority of their forces are HERE! on this station.  Balkazar out." =^=

=^= "Lobo, have Dolan set the station on remote self destruct.  Once we are all out of here, I want this station blown to kingdom kong, Is that understood?" =^=

"Alright lets get moving." Balkazar ordered as they left sickbat and a fire team remained behind.

<As they drew closer to where the Rift Generator was believed to be, their were minor skirmishes but other then that it was quiet.  A lil too quiet as they proceeded to the science bays.  It all reminded Balkazar of the saying "Silence before the storm" which made Balkazar feel a lil on edge like most of the marines with him.  Soon they reached the Science bays and Balkazar had ordered his men to plant themselves up against the walls on either side of the doors.  Then opened them and found out why they encountered almost nothing of the creatures, because they were all gathered around the gate protecting it.  Their were many small monsters, medium to large ones too surrounding the gate, all looking menacing as the doors opened hoping to get their hands on some fresh flesh.  In the center appeared to be the boss, larger then the others and looking more menacing and grossly monsterous, while the doors were opened hellish fire came from their hands and eyes as it was shot threw the opened door way, then the doors whooshed closed>

"Options?" Balkazar asked Eastwood.

[Jeroen Bode]

"Good see you both in one piece"

"As you both know we were send on this mission to save the Iroquois with the 'Dimensional Rift Generator'...but can we?!"

"How safe is it to use this Generator? You've seen it been used...Dolan, you are my Science officer...what do you think..and Colonel we are ordered to bring the Generator to Avalon Station, will it be safe?"

[Allison Cameron]

Allison Grab the Tri-corder, and run scans, His heart bet is 102. It is a littie high for my likes.

"Nurse 10cc to get is heart bet down to were it needs to be." said Allison.

Allison looked over at John working and smiled has the nurse handed her the Hypospray.

[Allison Cameron]

Allison looked in to John eyes and started to told John about her life. Has she started to eat some of the pizza.

Allison said "I grown up on starships and starbases, told me somethings about you"

[John Simpson]

"He wont kill us, he needs us." John said as they both left the mess hall and went to the Armory.

<In the Armory, weapons lined the walls and spare suits of combat armor lined the other.  Assault rifles, hand phasers, grenades were just a few of the weapons that was in here>

"Alright, you got your phaser, thats good.  Now, as a field medic its usually a good idea to keep your medic pack filled just in case you have to grab it on your way out.  So before and after every mission its wise to refill what you used before hand.  Suits of armor are over their, once you pick our your armor its yours for life or until its destroyed in which case youll need to pick out a new one.  Now, As a Medic we usually dont carry around large guns, usually hand phasers and assault rifles and maybe 2 or 3 power cells just incase the rifles run out of power.  I usually pack atleast 6 just incase someone else needs an extra power cell and their out.  Being prepared will usually save your life.  Make sure you have your combat knife or 2 with you at all times even when off duty because you never know when you have to play security officer or break up a mob or the like which is why we are armed with phasers and 2 combat knives at all times.  Now the Rifle, its not a toy.  It has the whole kill and stun settings just like a phaser, the rifle has rapid shot and normal shot.  All Rifles are set for Rapid unless we are sniping and we are stuck with the assault rifle only rather then the sniper rifles.  Alright, the Grenades carry atleast 4 frag, 4 stun, and 4 sonic.  Thats the basic equipment we carry, Medics usually carry more on top of their normal set of medical gear.  Sometimes you can get some privates to haul the extra gear but most of the time you have to carry it yourself.  Any questions?"
