Mission 4: "When Science Turns to Chaos"

[John Simpson]

"Scans seems to be passing off as, Ok.  Though, the battle on the Station may have caused some Neutral trauma." John said looking over at Cameron hoping she was alright, and was relieved that she was.

"I agree, he should be tied down.  If he has any neural trauma we may have to do surgery." he said smiling in a joking manner.

"Col, Eastwood is going to have to stay tied up till we figure out what caused this outburst." John said towards Balkazar.

"But for now, we are off duty.  Lets go grab some food." John said as he went over to Cameron then ushered her out making sure he was between Eastwood and her.

[Balkazar]

"Ok, lets go over some ground rules, call me Col. I dont expect my people to salute all the time, but I do expect them to put forth their idea's.  Also, you are to remain armed at all times, because im sure as old and wise as you are that even in times of peace, even you remain armed ready for war at a moments notice.  Also, I expect you to wear our insignia to Identify you as one of us sense im sure our clumsy armor is not to your liking.  Im not sure if you use only your Khala is it?, but a hand phaser isnt mandatory but I like my marines to be armed with one in addition to whatever else weapon they preffer.  Hmmmmm, what else.  Only time you salute is when in the presence of a General, I personally dont put much stock in saluting.  Ummmm, and if you draw your weapon make sure its not pointed at your fellow comrades, also I expect you to be willing to die for your allies and comrades so that means, If im trapped behind enemy lines I expect you to be one of my rescuer's.  Just like I would show the same loyalty to you if the situations were reversed.  Hmmmm, also we dont leave a man behind, dead or alive they come home, I think that covers the basis of everything.  Any questions?"

[Balkazar]

<Balkazar waited in the Marine quarters contemplating on what he would say to his marines so he mentally went over it>

~"Alright, Starfleet ordered my men to stand down but what is going on?~ Balkazar thought to himself.

~"Ahh, dont worry all things will be answered in time."~ Came a voice from his head.

<Balkazar looked around and saw no one else in the room>

~"Ahh confused arent we?, Im sorry but I had to transfer myself into you while you were on that science station.  My people were fleeing and we found our way here and I liked what I gleamed from your mind so I infected you but im not a parasite.  Im here to live!.  If you let me?.  Others in your marine corp were infected too but we did it to survive not to infiltrate your people.  We need a host to survive and we can help you if you allow us too.~ came the voice from Balkazar's head.

~"If your here to help us then why didnt you just tell me who you were?~ Balkazar asked telepathically.

~Because like myself we fear you.  Me and you have a telepathic link, you can hear my thoughts and gain the knowledge in my mind and I can hear and gain your thoughts we well, so we coexist as one but seperate as well.  I had to get an idea of who you were before revealing myself.  Will you allow me to stay bonded with you?"~ The voice asked.

~"I have no problem with it, though were you the cause of the reason my wounds healed faster then normal?"~ Balkazar asked telepathically.

~"Yes I was the cause of it.  I hope you enjoy it.  I can also prolong your life as well.  But for now I must search your mind more so I can be of service to you better."~ the voice said.

<Then Balkazar laid back on one of the bunks and relaxed till his men get here>

<Mess Hall>

<Hearing the comm, John looked over at Cameron>

"Well, this is the usual thing that happens around here.  We start to enjoy ourselves and eat, then we get called to duty.  Go figure.  So if your done we need to get you suited up and me too actually." John said giggling silently to himself.

[Balkazar]

"Eastwood, Everyone is off the ship except for a few people.  Hk47 here I called in personally.  His skills will be an asset to us all, Hes also going to be part of Lobo's SEAL team.  Hes putting together a special squad of men made up of both Starfleet and Marine personel.  HK47 is Starfleet except hes put where ever hes needed most.  Raszagal is also part of Lobo's squad."

"Raszagal, you are to afford the same respect to HK47 just as if you were showing me respect.  Understood?"

[Kain_Starbow]

"Aye sir!" *Salutes and hastily retreats back the way he came, heading for the bridge. Private Morgan looking worried follows silently*

*a few turns later and the doors to the bridge slide open*

*Looking around and approaching the first officer he see's*

"Sir, Private Starbow and Private Morgan reporting as ordered by Col.Balkazar. Where do you want us posted Sir?"

[Jeroen Bode]

"Weapons fire?" whispered Jeroen

"Tactical be alert...we may have company..", the captain watched the viewscreen and hoped to see the Iroquois appear on screen..."Any word from the Iroquois", he asked a comm. officer. But he replied negative..so they wait...

((Some of my men are getting restless soooooo, lets get this going.))

<Shuttlebay>

"Cameron, Simpson, go with Lobo and his team.  I need you 5 to get on the Delta Flyer, fly threw that Rift and get the Iroquois out of their.  Use the masking device that has been installed on the Flyer, it should mask your Engine signature and make you virtually invisible to normal sensors.  Make contact with the Iroquois and assist them in their expedient departure from the Mirror universe." Balkazar ordered.

[Patrick Brown]

*Patrick entered and Stoped at the Bridge Rail*

So, what do you need us for this time?

[Mike Powell]

*...The turbo lift doors open and a somewhat annoyed yet calm Lieutenant General exits the lift. he looks about the room and approaches brown...*

"Its good to see your back, Brown."

*...He then turns and looks about the room and speaks loudly...*

"I need to speak to the Captain of this vessel. Who might that be?"

[Jeroen Bode]

"Colonel Balkazar, form a boarding party. Take Ensign Dolan and Commander Wallace with you and find out what's happening on that station. I hope they just have problems with their communications but we cant be sure.."

"Colonel, we need that  Rift Generator, so please be careful and keep me updated!"

[Lobo_Negro]

*Lobo hears something rattling around in the vent, he looks up just in time to see a body falling towards him,*
"HOLY MARY MOTHER OF GOD!  MEDIC!!!!"  
*Lobo continues firing attempting to hold off the fray until a Medic can arrive.*
DOLAN.. *Fires off a few more shots*  "
Get off your ass and tend to the Captain!  I'll cover you until help arrives!"

"Col, we got a live one here.  Starfleet personel.  Im guessing from this station by the looks of his wounds and what hes been threw." John called over the phaser fire noise.

*Lobo turns as he smells smoke coming from the panel next to him, he grabs Dolan and lunges forward as the panel explodes causing part of the corridor to collapse around them, cutting them off from the rest of the Marines.  Lobo and Dolan cough a bit as the smoke starts to clear."

"Well, Dolan and Wallace.  Best hurry up, Also understand you take orders from me and my XO while on that station.  Their seems to always be more then meets the eye on a science station and I dont need you 2 going gung ho thinking your invincible, if you start that crap I will have you shot and brought back here to recover." Balkazar said as he left the bridge and motioned for his marines to follow him.

<Balkazar and his staff went down to the marine decks and started to order everyone up on their feet and get their weapons checked and tripple checked>

<Then Balkazar went over to the armory section and started to get suited up>

<Ready room>

"Safe, your asking if that damn thing is SAFE!.  Its not safe, From what I saw down in sickbay its nothing but safe, Captain.  We were ordered to retrieve the Generator and instead we had to fight against hell itself and lost many marines in the process.  Its far from safe from my point of veiw, Captain.  But the orders stood and we retrieved it.  If your asking me if we can use it again, THAT! would be your call.  Is it safe to return to Avalon Station, HELL NO!.  What if we used that Rift Generator on the station and we accidently opened up another hole to another hell for creatures to spawn out of and it invaded Avalon station, killed everyone including Starfleet Command Admiralty, then they slaughtered everyone on Dantor, The Federation would fall and that would be just the begining.  From what I experienced on that station, if the Federation fell they would be but the first.  However, I believe we can use the Generator safely on this ship.  I know its not what you wanted to hear, Captain.  But I rather have 1 ship with all hands destroyed then an entire federation that took YEARS! to build.  In this case, loosing 1 ship with all hands aboard is prefferable then loosing Years of work."

"Our job was to retrieve the Generator, what you do after that is your call, All we as Marines can do is protect you from your own Foolish choices in this matter.  You think the Nijgat was bad, I think these MONSTERS! are a reincarnation of the Nijgat but in flesh form and more brutal.  For all we know, the Science station personel pushed a button they shouldnt have and opened the portal to hell by PURE! accident.  I suggest we use the Generator with combination of the ships deflector to boost the Rift Generators capacity and open a portal.  But I also suggest we give Dolan here Temporary access with marine guard to the Rift Generator for further study out here, so if something goes wrong only 1 ship is lost.  We can set up a data link to Avalon station and have their sciencists assist Dolan.  Also I suggest we keep the Rift Generator AFTER its used on Dantor under heavy guard as a precaution.  Thats what I think, Captain."

"Also if something goes wrong, you atleast have the best marine fighting force on your ship, so you should feel somewhat safe."

[John Moore]

John began pulling himself up out of the jeffreys tube hatch, but then rose a lot quicker and higher than he should, his feet dangling above the ground. In front of him was a tall creature with it's claw on the top of John's head. The creature seemed to be looking at him curiously, it's head tilted to it's side. Various other monstrosities were gathered around too, looking on curiously.

John yelled and, sticking the nozzle of his rifle into the side of the creature's head, fired, blowing it's head off. As he did so, the creature became limp, falling backwards into a couple of it's fellows, and John fell back into the jeffreys tube feet first, almost landing on another Marine. Vaulting back up into the open, he crouched by the hatch opening while firing at the creatures, creating a safe exit point for his men.
