Mission 4: "When Science Turns to Chaos"

[Voyager]

Dolan scanned the bodies and read life signs from the organism John noticed, but they were very faint and were getting weaker.  They seemed to be consuming the bodies at an extremely slow rate.

Dolan said over the comm link to Lothlorien, "I think we have alien lifeforms on the station, I suggest we beam them to sickbay as they seem to be dying.  They also seem to be fused with the corpses, so I'm afraid the CMO is going to be doing some autopsies."

Dolan then walked on, trying to avoid looking at the dead bodies that were being beamed away.

[Balkazar]

"Great, big uglies trying to make first contact by eating us.  That doesnt fly with us." Balkazar told Dolan.

"Moore take a fire team and secure this area.  Lobo, take another fire team and secure the other way." Balkazar ordered.

"Dolan, you need to stop asking for suggestions all the time.  Their may come a time when YOU! have to make the tough choices yourself, when you have NO contact with a superior officer.  So show some back bone." Balkazar told Dolan.

=^= Captain, I need the security codes for whoever was in charge of this station in order for me to find out WHAT! exactly happened here.  I dont have that high of a security clearence.  But you do." =^= Balkazar called the Lothlorien.

"Eastwood, Take 20 men and sweep this deck.  Then place fire teams at every entrance and exit point, then have them shoot anything that makes a hostile move." Balkazar ordered Eastwood.

=^= "Richerds, youll get those scans.  But I read the reports of that day too and I dont think they are the same.  These seems to be more mutated." =^=

I need a confirmation by a high ranking officer of the station in order to activate the self-destruct.  Unless there is an ECH here, I can't activate the self-destruct.

Dolan hit his head with his hand once he said he needed an ECH.

"Computer, activate Emergency Command Hologram."  A woman that looked like Admiral Janeway appeared in front of Dolan and asked, "What is the emergency?"

"The station is overrun by monsters from another dimensions.  I have orders to activate the self destruct, though I have to give the marines enough time to deactivate the rift generator and everyone else enough time to be transported off the ship.  Also, our ship is under attack by two Romulan Valdore-class vessels."

"Interesting situation.  How about we first help your ship?"  The ECH went over to the tactical station and started working on something.  Dolan turned back to the force field system and found out he could place a force field around the room the rift generator was in.

The ECH is going to help me activate the self destruct after we get rid of the Romulan vessels.  I also think I can manage a force field around the rift room.  Just tell me when you want it activated and it'll be there.

[Voyager]

Dolan frowned and answered, "I think so, though after I make the appropriate calculations and input them into the rift generator, I'd like to run a few simulations, to see if anything goes wrong.  Though I have to point out a problem.  I don't think the Lothlorien can enter the rift if it is creating it since from what I can tell, the rift must be maintained by the generator or else it closes.  However, if we make it a bit larger than the ship, I suppose we can get through before the rift collapses."

[Allison Cameron]

"Im set." said Allison has they walked out.

[Balkazar]

<Sickbay>

"Sargeant, let the nurse do her job.  Then you can go to your bunk and get some rest." Balkazar told Moore.

[Raszagal]

"Wow. You really must see me as a threat, hmm? I wonder if coming here wasn't a mistake."

[Balkazar]

"Grab the Rifle thats in that locker, Private." Balkazar as he shook his head.

"Raszagal, HOLD!.  Your with Lobo here, hes putting together a special squad and your stuck in it." Balkazar told Raszagal.

[Raszagal]

"Don't expect any cover-fire with that attitude. If there's one thing I've learned about humans, it's that they function most efficiently when respected by their peers. No one wants to risk their life for the company braggard. I could rattle off about my 174-year-long track record of battles against the Na'jigat, but I don't because it doesn't inspire cooperation, it inspires resentment. So, I'll give you the respect you give me until you wear the bars."

She turned to the colonel. "I'm sorry, sir, but that's just how I work," she said. "I would imagine you, of all people, can understand that."

[Voyager]

Suddenly, from the other side of the rift came a transmission.

=/\= U.S.S Lothlorien, this is Lt. Commander Dolan of the New Terran Empire, the U.S.S. Iroquois is held up in Avalon Station, which is preparing for an attack by rebel forces.  They will try to reach you as soon as possible. =/\=

[Voyager]

<Bridge>

A transmission came through on the bridge, though not from the Iroquois.

=/\= U.S.S. Lothlorien, this is Lt. Commander Dolan again.  The rebel fleet has opened fire on your ship.  I suggest you get your shields up and close the rift until the rebel fleet can be dealt with or the Iroquois gets through, which should be soon. =/\=

(OOC:  Hmm...according to that site, the Lothlorien should be scheduled for either a major refit or is going to be replaced by a Steamrunner-class ship soon...

*sometime later*

Wow...these people really thought about this ship.  I guess we have 'pods' for the marine crew...that does explain how it could be a marine transport ship.)

<Before leaving>

"Your the science officer, your supposed to scan for these sorts of things, so start acting like your a science officer and find out."

[Clyde Eastwood]

Eastwood stood back and started screaming orders for his team to take out as many zombies as he could, he then heard a sound from behind him and came face to face with the zombie like people

"What on this gods nation are you doing here in front of me ya bloody freak"

[the zombie looked at Eastwood with a strange face]

"Have you ever heard of a deotrant spray because man you stink, and dont tell me its your mate over there because his guts is spread from butthole to breakfeast against the wall"

[The Zombie was kinda confused at what Eastwood was talking about]

"dont you give me that dumb look like you dont know whats going on your about to get your guts and brains all over the wall over there"

[Somehow the Zombie understood him and looked over at the wall when all of a sudden Eastwood pulled out his Hand Phaser and pointed it straight at his head]

"Hey Zombie look over here, [Zombie turns his head] Do you feel lucky Punk, Well Do ya"

At that point Eastwood pulled the trigger and blew the Zombies brains all over the wall
