William Richerd

Richerd was startled by the sudden mental message but he hid the shock on the outer face. "Aye Sir." He just hopped that they wouldn't be having to use body bags, but as he thought about that...

He heard the report from the Captain. HE looked at the Col. "I am ready at your command."

<Crash Site>

"Finally some actual good news, very good.  Tom, could be send a signal directly to HK47's communications array if you had the fequency?" Simon asked curiously.

<Research Complex, Underground>

The marines were having some trouble getting rid any Heraan that were still around.  Dolan was working as fast as he could to open the fused doors with his phaser.  His progress was slow, but gradual.  He wondered what the doors could possibly be made of to be so tough and took a small sample of it before continuing to fire on the door with his phaser.

"Okay..." says Dolan, somewhat glad that Balkazar was not his direct superior and also a little weirded out by Cloud's behavior.  It seemed he might be drugged on something, but Dolan passed it off as Cloud's normal behavior, since he just met the now unconscious man.

"Which would you prefer to do Raszagal?" asked Dolan.

Dolan decided to try and figure out how to disable the security protocols without taking out the rest of the computer and the ship.  However, he first created a subroutine to be added to the translation matrix to make it harder to detect and to circumvent any security protocols that might arise.  He also added another subroutine that would deactivate or dismantle any security protocols that could not be avoided.

Deciding that was the best he could do for the translation program, he moved on to disabling the security protocols directly.  He decided to base his program on one he had encountered in his earlier years, to save precious time.  He added more aggressive subroutines to help destroy tough security measures and a subroutine to neutralize the ones that couldn't be destroyed until they could be manually.

Dolan found programming in zero-gravity surprisingly mind-focusing.  Of course, the slowly depleting levels of oxygen weren't a great bonus to that.  The lack of energy flowing anywhere thoughout the ship was also disconcerting to Dolan, who was used to the barely noticable hum of the plasma conduits running.  As he finished, he briefly wondered why the Heraan would have a security program that would power down the entire ship before activating the self-destruct.

"Ensign Dar'Nas," called out Dolan, "I have a few additions I'd like to add to your translation matrix.  Also, I'd like to run a program that would get rid of the tougher programs first, just in case there are some backup security measure that speed up the self-destruct or something similar lurking back there."

Once that was ready, he patiently floated in mid-air, waiting for Raszagal to finish deactivating the self-destruct, which ever way she preferred, since Dolan didn't have much experience deactivating explosive charges, so that he and Dar'Nas could run the translation matrix and the anti-security program through the ship's computer core.

Raszagal

(OFF: Niiiiice...)

As she moved around a console, Raszagal noticed that Lieutenant Dolan had fallen to the floor. She rushed over to get him, and rather effortlessly lifted him up, and began to carry him to the makeshift medical lab. It was only once she made physical contact with him that she could feel the activity in his mind. It made her stop, and she was slightly dazed by the intensity of it.

<Simon replicated hot apple cider and Rootbeer, then took Aariya her drink, then Simon sat down in her chair>

"Tell me, what do you know about me?" Simon asked questioningly.  "Dont hold back.  Many people I ask the question hold back and so I hold them back because they dont have the balls to tell me what they know about me to my face.  So im curious if you do." Simon asked as he took a drink of his rootbeer waiting for a response.

Quinn

Quinn entered the new phaser calibrations into the computer. "Aye sir," He replied loudly, covering his head as sparks flew overhead.

A noise sounded from his console, "Shield's are down to 60%," He reported, wincing as more sparks flew.
"Sorry Admiral, thought you died,"

Thomas Richards

Tom walked back onto the Bridge after his trek to and from the long-range communications and sub-space relay controls. He had various burns and cuts on his arms and face, but looked pleased with himself.

"Captain, Long-range communications are operational, and should cover the majority of the planet, though the further the recipient, the more distorted the audio." Looking up, he saw the sensors on the main view screen and walked over to the operations console.

He rerouted power from a few systems, shut off the power going to the now-destroyed sensor panels and shunted it to the functional ones. The image on-screen distorted, and then showed a slightly larger radius, showing 5 green dots with a reading next to them of 3, though the closest dot showed only two - a total now of 14 friendly life signs. There were also three red dots, moving much faster - Heraani fighters. One was within the previous range of the sensors, while the other two were just out.

Raszagal

Raszagal kicked off of the Heraan's armor, flipping in the air and landing perfectly in a battle stance. She saw the damaged bracer on the ground and pulled it to her. Noticing it was still fully functional, she tore the rest of the mounting bracket from it, and held it as a sword. It contained a weaker form of Validium inside it as a focus, and produced a vibrant green blade, swirling with subtle psionic ribbons and weaves.

"Colonel," she called, "thank you for the effort, but this one is beyond you. Concentrate on keeping the others off of us. This one and I have our own fight."

Raszagal

It took the team nearly forty-five minutes to complete all of the preparations. Air was running thin, but luckily for Raszagal, her Gallifreyan genetics ensured that she could survive without oxygen, or any atmosphere for that matter, for hours, even days.

The computer core was very intelligently designed, and gaining access required her to break down the security subroutines one by one, often forcing her to reroute her commands through several ancillary subsystems. Finally, she was able to release the security system's strangle-hold on the gravitic coil.

"Self-destruct is shut down, and the charges are disarmed," she said, drawing her phaser. She fired at each of the explosive nodes, one by one, until they all fell to the deck.

"Permanently."

Voyager

As Dolan lay unconscious, he heard faint voices in his mind.

"Major Dolan, I'm ordering you to recall!  The enemy is closing in on your position and you won't be any good to the UEF dead!  Recall, Dolan, recall!"  The voice blared in Dolan's mind, loud and clear.

"Recalling in 3...2...1..." counted a feminine voice. Dolan suddenly felt as if he had been blinded by a flash of light but couldn't move any part of his body.

"Get him out of there!  On to the stretcher!  Get him through the gate, have Colonel Clarke take over Dolan's ACU!"

Dolan then fell into a deeper state of unconsciousness and his body stopped moving completely on the floor of the cargo bay.

Aariya Sayuri

"'Traitor' isn't the word I would have used, but it's not entirely inaccurate. Regardless, as you well know, he's been pardoned. I could have reacted, but I don't see what that would have accomplished."

She continued to sit back casually, her hands resting idly in her lap as she spoke. "Besides, he wouldn't have wanted me to react. I'll give that much to the old fellow; he taught his daughter very well."

Her expression relaxed. "I would take a mug of hot cider, if you'd be so kind. Apple, preferably. And Captain? The only secrets here are the ones we tell ourselves. What exactly do you think I'm hiding?"
