Negotiations between Starfleet and the Delta Alliance

[Daniel Reeves]

*at this point Reeves sat there pondering what his reaction might be to this powerful drink. He wasn't really looking forward to being "drunk" but he knew that he would have to perform this part of the ritual in order to fullfill his duties to starfleet, as they were in the heart of a very important alliance negotiation*

[Koloblicin]

*Kolo tries to stop singing but fails and instead joins Vorak in a duet.*

[Vorak]

"Welcome, Mr. Karelia, I assume you wish to join the negotiations as well? And Mr. Koloblicin, thank you for making this location more suitable for our intentions."

[Randall Sanchez]

"Ahem... of course I will gladly go pray at your Sordinan temples, Mr. Ardwyad."
*Then he glances at Daniel Reeves.*
"And our Bajoran religion specialist Reeves will be glad to join me and guide me in these matters of traditions, won't you Mr. Reeves?"

[Vorak]

"Quite... interesting, Mr. Tankalan. Welcome, and you too Senator Kiatya. You are welcome to join our negotiations. We were just discussing the fact that we are open to form a closer bond between our Federation, and your Delta Alliance. Though your species, and ours, may have several fundamental differences, it appears to me that you, like ourselves, strive for peace in the galaxy. We of Starfleet strongly respect the traditions and rules of other species, and hope that we may expect the same of you."

[Ragolis]

Ragolis makes a gesture as he would like to say something.

"And Admiral, don't forget that our Alliance has the best and may I remark that word. We have the best doctors in this whole Quadrant. There was this one time, that I had to cure a whole population. They had been infected with a deadly virus, and ofcourse I was in danger too. It had affected their DNA and ...."

Ragolis stands up and swiftly moves over to Admiral Vorak. Ragolis reaches for his tricorder and grabs the head of the Admiral. He moves the head of the admiral in several positions and is surprised by his conclusions every time

"You know admiral, if I had know that your species are this fragile, I would have brought a new creme I have come up with. It strengthens the bodies skin and ....."

Suddenly Ragolis realizes he has all the attention of the people that are gathered around the table. He notices Admiral Vorak's head standing in a vertical position, he swiftly moves it in the right direction again and steps backwards.

[Vorak]

*Admiral Vorak looks at the PADD, and  the name on it.*
"There must be an error. You have signed this in name of the High Queen, but you stated before you are a representative of the High Queen. Or is it customary to sign in the name of your superior, for the Delta Alliance?"

[Randall Sanchez]

*Sanchez glances around, to make sure everyone has a glass now, and then places a glass for himself at last, and sits down again.*
"Well, let the ceremony begin."

[Kiatya]

*smiles*, do u like what your seeing Mr Sanchez

[Randall Sanchez]

*Sanchez shakes his head, as his normal temper begins to return.*
"Luckily the alcohol of this Razanis doesn't stay in your blood very long, the effect runs out nearly as fast as it came."
*Then he turns to his crew.*
"Mr. Brooks, Mr. Reeves, Mr. Dalon, it's time to return to the ship. Follow me."
*He nods at admirals Vorak and Karelia, and the remaining people, and then leaves the embassy with his ship's crew.*

[Ragolis]

*Listens to Karelia but keeps scanning his body.*
"Interesting, interesting... Oh, you said? Biological data? Oh, wonderful! By the way, I notice that your species isn't able to breath under water, only in air... not like us. You can't fly either, like the Talonions. Perhaps you're a little bit like the Nygeans."
*Then he sees Daniel Reeves coming in, and immediately heads toward him with his scanning device.*

[Vorak]

"Mr. Dalon and Mr. Reeves may assist captain Sanchez upon attending the religious ceremony, if it does not oppose your wishes, Mr. Ardwyad. Mr. Dalon is correct, one of the goals of our Federation is to respect all different cultures, beliefs and regulations and place them all on equal level without condemning even one of them. This is what we hope to achieve with your Delta Alliance as well."

[Nick Brooks]

*Brooks trys to remain unnoticed, trying to hold down a chuckle*

*Sanchez studies the holographic image of the catapult, displayed in the middle of the embassy's large table.*
"Hmm... this looks slightly familiar... Didn't the U.S.S. Voyager encounter someone in the Delta Quadrant, a few years ago, who had made something similar to this?"
