Nova is located on the edge of Federation space on the alpha quadrant. As said the Klingons Romulans and Ferengi are allied enemies of us. If you view a galaxy ap you will see that those 3 spaces block out route to the Delta quadrant to get to the rest of Expansion. Though it is far. It is a simple trip when you take out the 3. That is why we are fighting them and them us. The SSF-Alamo, transport/escourt/cargo ship for Nova has Transwarp drive spesificly to get by these for fast work for Expansion Fleet. Nova is working with transwarp for all its ships and offering to other Divisions to make fast missions with the Delta and Alpha quadrants. The Alliance of the blocking spaces only stand in the way of this.
